How to Become a Member
Pull a burning ember away from the fire, and it dies quickly. Left with the other
embers, it burns more brightly and hotter than it ever could alone.
It’s the same with Christians. Left alone, our relationship with God grows stale
and cold. That’s why the Bible says we should join a local church: “
Not neglecting
to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all
the more as you see the Day drawing near” (Hebrews 10:25, ESV).
At WHC we make it easy to become a member – a one-hour class at 9 a.m.
Sunday morning, typically on the first Sunday of every month, is all it takes. The
class helps you understand what it means to become a church member and how to become
an active, serving member of the fellowship.
